hi,
in A1, i have a formula saying =C5
is there anyway for me to drag this down and instead of getting C6, C7, C8, etc. , instead get D5, E5, F5, G5, etc.


thoughts?
 

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
click on cell a1, then hit the f4 key on your keyboard. This will add dollar signs to the formula in cell a1

or

enter

=$c$5

Then drag it down to the cells you need

Whoops sorry.. I didn't read well enough. I don't know about that. I am sure you could write a macro to do it, but I don't know about that in excel.


You might also be able to use paste special with the transpose check box checked and get it to work that way, although i don't know if it will automatically update if you do that.
