Dragging down to reach a cell

In the past, if I highlighted a cell in a column and dragged the cursor down, past the last line into the gray area, the spreadsheet would move down until I reached the cell I wanted. For some reason, now that wont happen. The dragging process stops when I reach the last cell that shows and will not continue down. How can I get this process back? Thanks Ironside

Perhaps rows 32:65265 (or so) have been "hidden"? Try going as far down as you can, then clicing on Format, Row, Unhide. Let us know if this was the problem.

Ralph, thank you for your reply. After I posted my messgae I realized what was happening. An hour or so before I started to use my file I downloaded an Excel utility file that encompassed my original file in a frame so when I reached the bottom of a field the cursor stopped its normal finction. I copied and pasted my entire data into a fresh Excel file and uninstalled the utility prgram and went on as normal. Thanks again and best wishes, Ironsides
