I have made this webpage with three big buttons on it. These will be used to open excel files on my computer. Each of them will target a different Excel file.

Now if you use dreamweaver to put the link in to open these it opens them inside Explorer. I don't want to do this. ANyone got a way of making it just open the Excel file on its own?

I'm sure it's just a matter of editing the html link code I guess.

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
I'm not sure that there is an easy way to do this since essentially your asking to give up control of your local machine to a webserver somewhere (Your asking to launch Excel, but it could just as easily be configured to Launch "FORMAT", "FDISK", etc). With that said however, I haven't looked at this application but, it sounds like exactly what you're looking for..

okay that's interesting. What if I just wanted to open it via a webpage on my own machine that was not online? Just locally stored.
