drop down lists

is there a way of having the values for a drop down list in another sheet?

for my project i would like to have a master data sheet with various constants and co-efficients in it, is there a way of reference the data sheet from a list or does the list have to be on the same page as the drop down box?

i could have a bunch of cells that reference the data sheet but will be a bit cumbersome and will duplicate a lot of data multiple times, i expect my file to be fairly large anyway so any memory saving i can make i would like to.
