Drop Down Menu's

Simple question for an excel novice. How do I insert a drop down menu into a cell in a worksheet? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Make a list of what you want to appear in the dropdown. It's best to name the list (Insert Name Define) say TheList.

Select the cell where you want the drop down and choose Data, Validation from the menu. In the allow box choose List. In the Source box type =TheList and click OK.
