Drop Downs !

I have inserted some drop downs on a spreadsheet usinf the Validation function.
The data it is picking up I have highlighted in colours, but when I select the name from this I want it is only in normal colour font ???????

Format the cell containing your validation to what you want to see, should do the trick

Not sure I follow: Are you saying you want it to return in the same colour as the list range? How many items are in the list range?

In column A it is selecting from 2 on a drop down list and in column A it is seleting from 3

I want the person who selcts from the drop down be able to see the name and colour of the selected name !??!!?!?!?

Hi,

So you have two drop downs, one which has two options and one which has three? If this is so you could use conditional formatting to bring the colours through, not sure it can be done conventionally using Validation Lists.

Format - Conditional Formatting.
