DropDown Menu

Does anyone know how (or if) you can insert a drop down menu into a cell. I have a spreadsheet which I use as a template. I want to be able to choose from a dropdown menu what I want in that cell. For example, cell G6 could be a brand of PC. I want to be able to choose between Compaq or IBM or Dell, etc. without typing in the field, but rather choosing it from an "embedded" drop-down menu. Can someone help?

typo - just the help! :)

(the appropriate menu item is data | validation, then select allow = list, then either refer to the cells that contain the allowable values or type them in directly, separating ewach entry with a comma).
