and maybe I shouldn't ask but...I'm using 2000 9.0.2720. Is there much difference btwn my version and the newest. Or is it worth the expense. If you ask: is your version doing what you want? My answer is yes.....but can I do more with an upgrade? Is there a trial version of the newest version? And what is the newest version model number? Dumb question?

I am using all versions from 2000 to 2003 xp now. The big difference is from 97 to 2000. The other big difference is from 2003 and the new version [No menus, only one big ribbon of commands and unlimited rows.

From 2000 to 2003 you get to color sheet tabs have additional search catagories, more properties, functions, enhanced help and better stability. But you also get more overhead, hence some things run slower!
