I am trying to highlight values that only appear twice in a data set, but not ones that appear 3 or more, is there a way to do this, and also change it to highlight ones that only appear 3 times, etc.?

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Welcome to the board.

You can do this with conditional formatting. Assuming your data is in column A, your conditional formatting formula in A1 would be:

=COUNTIF(A:A,A1)=2

Copy the format down with the format painter.

I actually have the data in 5 columns, and I want to separate the data by them appearing in only 2 columns, only 3 columns, etc.
