Dynamic cell refrence within other sheet refrence

hello, and sorry for the oquard message title/

i have two sheets: sheetA and sheetB. i would like to get data from sheetA and show it on sheetB.
so, if for example i need the data on cell A1 of sheetA, i would write : sheetA!A1
problem is i need the cell refrence to come from from sheetB. cell D1 in sheetB contains the cell number i want to refrence.
for example:
sheetB, cell D1 contains the value A1
sheetA, cell A1 contains the value "yellow"
i would like to write in sheetB, cell C1 - sheetA![put here the value in sheetB,D1]
so in the end C1 will show "yellow"
