I have some data in three columns and three rows.

I want to make it that if I click a button a column or row is added to the table.

I also want to that the graph is updated to reflect these changes.

Can anybody help me with this?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Hi,

I don't know what VBA you would need to do this and I can't help you with the code, but if you have 2007 you can create a Table and then a Chart from that table. When you add new data to the Table (columns or Rows) the Chart will update.

Which version of excel do you have and where would you be getting the additional data from. The answers may help someone create a solution for you.

Good luck.

Hi,

Thanks.

I am using 2007.

The data inputs will change at some point. Probably more than once. I need the ability if possible to quickly add a row or column.

I could setup empty rows and columns but then they appear as blank on the graph.

Cheers,

You can set up your chart range to include all of your data, then just hide rows and columns. Hidden rows/columns won't plot on charts, so when you want that data displayed you just unhide as needed.
