Hi
Sometimes the obvious is obscured.

Is it possible to make the NAME of a range dynamically linked to a cell such that the range NAME will change if the referenced cell is changed?

I am OK with making ranges dynamic but never made the name so?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Hi
Thanks but this has references and info on Dynamic ranges. (which as mentioned I understand) I want the Rage name to be linked to a cell so that the NAME changes dynamically when the cell is edited. Not the Range the Range Name refers to?

I am curious, what exactly would the name of the range change to?
What are the rules you want around that?

Hi, yes it is a strange one. I have a series of pivot tables and the headers are also links to range names. Currently if I update the table header cell I then have to also remember to go and change the named Range NAME If I don't update the named Range NAME then the linked dropdowns do no populate.

Hence I wanted to link the name of a named Range to a cell

Hope that make sense

Paul

I am thinking that something like this would probably require VBA to rename the named ranges.
