Hi,

Let me start by explaining the purpose of my workbook. I co ordinate and monitor 200 vehicle builds from start to finish over a 42 day period on average.
There are 5 departments all requiring access to a spreadsheet containing our current stock.
Each department has a section with in our stock spreadsheet to keep up to date relative to their operations.

What I need:

New Arrivals Spreadsheet two way link to: Stock Spreadsheet , Parts Spreadsheet , Fabrication Spreadsheet , Fit out Spreadsheet , Sublets Spreadsheet

The New Arrivals spreadsheet needs to be able to allow me to paste new data from external source.

All the sheets contain the same information, but I need each department to have its own spreadsheet to work in so they can set the view by "date in" or "customer" however they wish. So the Link needs to be able to recognise if the sheets are listed in different orders.
Ideally each sheet requires a department password and will be locked so only columns relating to that department can be updated by them.

IF this is achievable it will save a lot of inter department correspondence.

Cheers

Ron

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
You can do this my marking worksheet as shared workbook . However once the workbook is set as shared you wont be able to password protect it .
