I have numbers from A1 to A9 and have names from B1 to B9. On cell A10, I have formula =Max(A1:A9) and this is my lookup number. My lookup array is $A$1:$B$9. What I mean dynamic is if any value in cell A1 to A9 changes, the lookup value also change. I have tried several times but it works in few tries then it will stop.

Anyone could help me out?

Thanks,

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Should work so that sounds strange - have you checked that your calculation is set to automatic (in options).

Your formula should be something like

=VLOOKUP(MAX(A1:A9),A1:B9,2,0)

or

=INDEX(B1:B9,MATCH(MAX(A1:A9),A1:A9,0))
