does anyone know how to write this code :

Selection.Borders(xlDiagonalDown).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlDiagonalUp).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlEdgeLeft).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlEdgeTop).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlEdgeBottom).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlEdgeRight).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlInsideVertical).LineStyle = xlNone
Selection.Borders(xlInsideHorizontal).LineStyle = xlNone

into something smaller ?? ie like one line ?
is there a boarders.all command or something ?

You could select your range and press CTRL+SHIFT+_ (next to the 0)

Or, if you need to stick to VBA, try Selection.Borders.LineStyle = xlNone

Try this - its does the whole lot (is this what you intend) Its not really that much smaller - please test as this is off the top of my head:

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Dim objBorder
For Each objBorder In Selection.Borders
objBorder = xlNone
Next objBorder
End Sub
