I need to know how to run a macro so that you can't see the screen jumping around while the macro runs.

I have an elaborate edit routine on a form that copies from a work area back into my main form...the macros work well, but the screen looks as if it is having a mild seizure. I'm looking for the equivalent of the "echo off" that I have used in access.

Grateful for help...Lynette

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.

Welcome to the board Lynette

The command your looking for is.

Application.ScreenUpdating = False

Put this at the beginning of your code and at the end put

Application.ScreenUpdating = True
