I have a worksheet in which a number of cells contain Comments. When the sheet is Unprotected, these Comments are able to be edited. When the sheet is Protected however, the Comments can no longer be edited. (The particular cells are Unlocked so that their contents can still be changed.)
Any ideas on how to overcome this?

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)

I don't know what version you are using. But Excel 2000 gives you the option when you protect a sheet near the bottom to allow users to edit objects. With a check mark in here the comment boxes are still editable

Thanks,
The suggestion of Unchecking the Objects box also works in Excel 97.
