I've been trying to get a subform's value to allow changes but for some reason i can't seem to get it to work. The Form that the Subform is based on allows the value to be changed, as does the query that it is based on but when i base a subform on that form the value all of a sudden "locks".

I've tried finding a property to change to fix the problem but nothing i've found seems to work properly. Is there something i'm missing?

Is the Allow Edits for the main form set to YES? Also, is the main form's recordset updatable?

First of all, thank you for the prompt response.

Is the Allow Edits for the main form set to YES?

Yes

Also, is the main form's recordset updatable?

I don't want to give you the wrong answer here and i'm not quite sure what you are asking. The Main form consists of 3 dropdowns/1 calculated field/ and two control buttons.

The dropdowns allow the user to select the company, month (by number) and year. The calculated field figures what quarter it is based on the month chosen. The controll buttons requery and open a report.

I'm trying to set it up so that the user can choose the company/month/and year of the report they would like to open and enable them to verify/edit a few fields before they go into the report.

The fields are not calculated, but are filtered via query based on the choices on the main form.

**UPDATE**

For some reason walking away from a project to get some air is not only benificial to my bloodpressure, but the overall project itself. A restart of the Database seems to of solved the problem.

Thanks again for your help.
