For some reason whenever I press F5 or have screen updating off, my Excel freezes up and no longer responds. But when I go through the code and run it line by line, it runs just fine. Is this a software/hardware issue or a coding issue? Any suggestions? Thank you.

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Hi Alex,

Try adding the bottom line of code: Application.ScreenUpdating = True

In the event triggering subroutine use this code template:
Application.EnableEvents = False
' ... Your code
Application.EnableEvents = True

Also for kicks be sure to reboot your PC (turn if completely off and then on again) - this has been known to help in cases like this.
