  • Hi, Good morning

I need help with an excel report, will appreciate if someone will be able to assist me. the challenge is:
I have an estimation report that represents the relationship between Business Requirements and System requirements. the logic is that there is a many to many relationship between the parent Business Requirements and the children System Requirements.
meaning, a single Business Requirement can be mapped to many System Requirements, and System Requirement can be mapped to many Business Requirements.

Now, on those System Requirements, I have estimations (efforts per application), and in order to have an exact estimation report without duplication (since one SR can be mapped to many BRs), I need to avoid the duplication, and also to check if the BRs that this is SR is connected to, are In Scope. and if one of them is not in scope, I should still be able to sum the estimations.

any assistance will be appreciated ! :)

*How do I attache an excel file to this post?

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Good morning, and welcome! You can't attach a file to a post. But you can upload a sample using an HTML Excel addin (one of which you can get by following the link in my signature below). It's best to upload a sample that illustrates the type of data you're analysing, the relevant formulas & functions and the desired outcome. A concise description of what you seek will increase the likelihood of having your post answered.
