Eliminating Update Links Message

Each time I open my excel spreadsheet I get a message saying that the workbook contains links to other data sources. I then asks to either Update, Don't Update or Help. AS far as I know there are no necessary links to other info in the spreadsheet. Is there any way to stop this message from coming up each time I open the workbook?

take the option to update the links and in the next box, notice which file(s) it is attempting to link to. You can choose to break the link.
