I browsed around the search and couldnt find what I was looking for.

I have a worksheet that I email to someone and they enter in the hours worked by their employees and send it back to me. the worksheet has protected areas so the formulas that calculate the hours cannot be changed. Everyone I send it to has no problems with it except one. One person receives the worksheet and instead of only the formulas being protected, the whole worksheet is. I've set it up so that the hour fields are not protected, but for some reason when he gets the worksheet a few people on the list are protected, but the others are not. I saw one post on these boards that someone had problems sending a protected worksheets as they would be unprotected on the other person's computer. Someone suggested that the problem was different versions of Excel. So I called and we compared and I think that my version is just a little older than his. I'm not sure if that is the problem (because it seems that mine would be NEWER to have problems like this), but I need some way to fix it!

Thanks,
Phaithe

PS Forgot to add that we are both running xl 97 mine is sr-1 and his is sr-2. I've also tried to unprotect, reprotect and resend, but the result is the same, when I close and open it on my computer it works perfectly!
