Email Excel or PDF file automatically once per day without user control

So, I've created a (fancy) to-do list that I edit in Excel a couple of times a week.
I know how to convert that file to PDF using VBA, if required.

My question:
I want to have the Excel file (or PDF, I prefer the PDF), emailed to me once per day (let's say 5am), automatically without me ever opening my computer.

If it matters, I have a gmail account.

Is this possible or is this beyond the scopes of VBA?
