I am trying to calculate turnover for contract to hire employees, Over the course of the last 6 months we have:

937 total number of employees hired
283 separations
307 were hired after their contract
347 still work for us

Is our turnover percentage seperations(283)/total employees(937) *100?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.

This is not an Excel problem yet, right? How does your company define turnover?

Correct, I just am running it in excel and didn't know a better place to post it. Are there multiple ways to define turnover?

Dunno; I define turnover as something you do to a pancake. Ask your HR department.
