When I insert a comment into a cell and look at it afterwards it only shows a few lines of the text, if I need to put quite a bit of text into the comment I find that when I come to look at it later I cannot see most of my comment as the box of text is too small to show more than the first few lines.

How can I expand the 'comment box' to make my entire comment visible?

Thanks in advance.

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
I've attempted this by taking the following steps;
- I right clicked on the cell that has the comment attached to bring up 'edit comment'.
- I clicked on 'edit comment', which then allowed me to right click on the comment box.
- Once I had right clicked on comment box I selected 'format comment'.

At this point however I was not offered any 'alignment' tab, I was only offered a 'font' tab, in which there was no oportunity for me to select any 'alignment' or 'check automatic size' tabs or choices.

Could you please help any further? am I doing something wrong? thank you very much for your help.

When the comment box is showing, right click on the border and select format comment to get the dialogue box Kris shows. But I find that automatic size is no good as it puts it all in one line. Better just to use the drag handles on the comment box border to size the box.
