I have created a search bar on a form but when I click on the search button the 'Enter Parameter Value' box appears and I need to type in my search criteria again.

Is there a way of avoiding this from popping up?

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Your query is designed such that it's expecting the criteria but not getting it. Does the query criteria reference the form and the textbox you've typed the search term into?
e.g. Forms!frmMyForm.txtMyTextbox

I'm assuming you are using a query with parameters...in your query design view, look for the Parameters icon in the ribbon bar towards the right side. Click that and enter your parameters there.
