I remember there was a command to fill a cell with a repeating character. Let's say I wanted to have a cell with the equals sign (=) from left to right. You would enter something like \=.

Could someone lend a hand?

I'm using Excel 2000 and unfortunately it no longer works. Is anyone else aware of another shortcut?

Hi:

You could try this:

=REPT("-",4)...this should repeat "-" for with four occurances.
