I want to know if it is possible to enter a person's initials into a cell and have it display the person's name instead? If it helps, there is a table with each person's name and their initials in the cells next to them.

e.g. Enter into the cell "JS".

But somehow excel looks at the table and finds "JS" stands for "John Smith" and displays the full name in the cell instead of the initials.

I am ot sure if this is possible. Any help would be great.

Try this

please go to excel options in Proofing go to Auto Correct Option and remove the entry "John Smith"

I am wanting to do the opposite though. I want to type "JS" in a cell and instead of the cell displaying "JS", I want it to display "John Smith".

Is this possible?
