I have a set of serial #'s 600-799.

I then have these parts comming in and all of them have different SN's I would like to get an equation that could count the amount of these parts that are in this SN range.

SN range 600-799

Parts 601, 740, 4589, 4965

I would like something to show that I have 2 in this range.

### Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
=COUNTIF(\$D\$1:\$D\$5,">="&F2)-COUNTIF(\$D\$1:\$D\$5,">"&F3)

where D1:d5 is your range, f2 is the lower limit, f3 is the upper limit (inclusive)

In regards to this last equation. It works great. Now I need it to do something else. I have the series of #'s that I am cataloging. What would i do to the equation if i wanted it to cound a series of #'s but not one of them in the middle.

Count from 700-799 but do not count 710, 715, 750, 780

What would i do to the equation

something like
=COUNTIF(\$D\$1:\$D\$5,">="&F2)-COUNTIF(\$D\$1:\$D\$5,">"&F3)-SUM(COUNTIF(\$D\$1:\$D\$5,{710,715,750,780}))

where the braced amount include what you want to omit. Be sure these number are with in the range of f2 and f3, or you will get incorrect results.
