Hi

You all have been helpful before so I hope you can help me now again.

Im looking for a way to calculate mutiple rows with a couple of variables. Im trying to calculate the price of each package im going to send per post.

The variables are:

x:2,83 euros
z:1,53 euros
y:0,17 euros

x stands for the standard cost for each shipment
z stands for the price per package.
y stands for the total of kgs per shipment for each package.

The maximum of weight of one package is 31kg. And no more then 4 packages in one shipment. The weight of each package can vary between 3 and 7 kilograms. The maximum numbers of packages is undefined. But maybe for this example we need to set to a 100. Any ideas how I easily could calculate this in excel without having to calculate them one by one.

Looking forward hearing from you

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Hello,

Can you give a clearer indication of layout, and an example or two of the data.

Some inconsistencies in your explanation...

The maximum of weight of one package is 31kg
The weight of each package can vary between 3 and 7 kilograms

Did you mean the max weight of one shipment is 31kg?

no more then 4 packages in one shipment
The maximum numbers of packages is undefined

Which is it?

Also, if there are no more than 4 packages per shipment, and the max weight per package is 7kg, then surely the max weight per shipment is 28kg, not 31kg?

No the maximum weight of one package may be 31kgs however my packages will weigh between the 3 to 7 kgs :)

Correctly the maximum number of packages is undefined however one package may consist of four smaller packages that dont crosse the maximum widt and height sizes of a package.

Which is it?

Also, if there are no more than 4 packages per shipment, and the max weight per package is 7kg, then surely the max weight per shipment is 28kg, not 31kg?

Thanks for the response Im currently working on some examples to get it all a bit more clear. What Im trying to do is to compare prices of three different companies that would like for us deliver our mail/packages. On bases of previous deliveries we did in the last year I would like to import this data into a worksheet that contains these three sets of different prices. It should then calculate my best price on bases of the variables I have set in each worksheet.

The examples will follow soon.

Thanks

Ok I have prepared some examples for you to look at to make it all a bit more understandble at least I hope it is.

As I mentioned before im trying to compare prices for post package deliveries.

What I would like to do is that on bases on the info that is in the worksheet "orders" the prices are calculated per company(see the three individual worksheets in "tpgwerkblad". The rows in the "order" worksheet correspond with the rows in the "tpgwerkblad" worksheet.

See the underneath links for examples....

Looking forward hearing from you!!!
