Hello All,

Has anyone come across this error before?

The spreadsheet is a simple vlookup to another table which looks up product names or numbers.

It isn't a macro as there are no macros, and it isn't a macro workbook.

Wondering if anyone has come across it and how to fix it?

That definitely looks like the result of VBA to me.
Are you sure there is no VBA in the file? It would probably NOT be in Standard VBA modules, but rather in the individual Sheet modules in VBA.

What exactly is the extension on this file?

It could be a data validation warning.
Select the cell & on the Data tab select Data Validation to find out.

Yes!! This was it.

The data validation was not applied uniformly and only on some cells and not others, hence the confusion.
