I am trying to import a lot of data (numbers and text) from a database and then use it in an excel spreadsheet. When the numbers import, they show up (in excel) with a green triangle in the top left corner of the cell which tells me that these values are text with an option to 'convert to numbers'.

I need a way that this happens automatically or with a macro. When I tried recording a macro with me doing this manually, nothing recorded for the 'convert to numbers' step, only me defining the range.

How can I automate this?

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Welcome to the Board!

Try using Text to Columns to convert from one data type to another. This process is recordable via the Macro Recorder.
