Hi Everyone,

I need some vb code that can look at the data in cells C6 to C25 and check to see if any of the names in any of the cells matches any name in any of the other cells and if so create a message box "saying error cell can not the same name"

can anyone tell me how to do this plaese

Thanks

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Try

Code:
Sub test()
Dim i As Long
For i = 6 To 25
    If WorksheetFunction.CountIf(Range("C6:C25"), Range("C" & i).Value) > 1 Then
        MsgBox "Cells cannot contain the same name", vbExclamation
        Exit For
    End If
Next i
End Sub
