Error Message

Can anyone help with an error message I keep getting. It is quite a large work book and each time I make a change I get a message stating that "no more fonts can be applied to the workbook".
Can anyone shed any light on what I can do - it might sound like a silly question but I don't really want to loose too much of the formating?

When you get the error that no more Formats can be added, it usually means there are too many formats in the workbook.
Check for "Format Loading" and memory loading possibilities:
Pivot tables that have had data changed, added to, and refreshed time and again.
Formats that extend over entire Columns, (65536 rows) or entire Rows, (256 columns).
Graphics, even if they are hidden.
Formulae that reference entire rows or columns.
Named ranges that are referenced from worksheets other than their own.

If it's chart related, it's something else. Jon Peltier encountered the problem a long time ago, figured out how to deal with it, and posted it so others might save some of the hassle:
