Hi All,

I am having all sorts of problems with my file and I am hoping someone may have some wise advice for me.

I am using Excel 2007. One worksheet has approx 20,000 lines and 200 columns. I have approx 20 pivots tables running off the database.

I am getting the following error message:

"Excel cannot complete task with available resources. Choose less data or close applications."

Has anyone had this error message before? Can it be fixed? I cannot refresh pivot tables. I also cannot delete rows in the 20,000 line database.

I have closed down all applications, restarted the computer however this has made no difference.

Any suggestions?

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
I have copied the 20,000 line database worksheet into a new file without any pivot tables and still have encountered the same errors.

I have tried Microsoft advance help without success. Have also searched the internet. It seems to be quite a common problem yet no-one can say why it happens or how to fix it.

I have no named ranges, formula, VBA in this file just 20,000 lines of hard coded data. It is a 12mb file.

I am at a loss as to what to do.
