I have Excel97 on a W98 system. Having just purchased Joseph Rubin's Financial Statements e-book, I'm having a problem trying to open the workbook that came as part of the zipped product file. Specifically, when opening the Financial Statement workbook, first Book1 opens, then I'm asked whether I want to allow macros - whether I say "yes" or "no", I get a Microsoft Visual basic error message: "file format no longer supported". If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Joe tried to help me by 1) sending me the worksheets without macros to see if they'd open; 2) when that didn't work, he suggested deleting/re-installing Excel; when that didn't work, he said he couldn't help me technically any further, and that I should post my problem on the Excel boards to see if I could get any further help. That's why I'm trying to get help here.

**** Y
