Hello, running WIN XP and XL2000.

I have this spreadsheet on the server, and when anyone tries to open it, it says " Cannot access read-only document Smartparts File.XLS

Im not too sure if anyone is playing a joke on me, or my file has been lost. It was not password protected to view, but password protected to make changes.

Can someone please help me on this?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
How is it tried to be opened? Through a link to the file or directly going to the folder where the file is stored?
Have you tried opening it through File>Open>and the going to the folder containing the file?
And one more thing ..does the file really exist on your server now?
Try to find it out through the SEARCH function of WinXP.
