Error warning required

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your excellent website and also your past assistance which was very helpful to me.

I would be grateful if you could solve a logic formula for me;

Imagine using a 10 X 10 square cell excel sheet - for example, extending from A1 to A10 to J10 with a total of 100 cells. (actual sheet I use is much more larger) I use this sheet to fill seven selected alphabets (not numbers) to represent certain attendance (related to x and y axis). I need to get an error warning if I enter an unselected alphabet in any of these columns. How can I insert a formula to show a warning message like 'Incorrect' or 'False' entry.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Welcome to Mr. Excel Board.
Not sure if this is your looking for;
Select range ( A1:J10 )
Click on Data > Validation
Validation criteria Allow: List
Source: type the alphabet separated by a comma
untick the In cell dropdown
On the error alert tab, type your message on the Error message field
hope it helps
