Error when displaying multiple tables on a single worksheet where all tables use 'Total Row'

Hello,

We are using Excel 2007/10 (some users on each). We have an Excel workbook with several connections to SQL Server via 'Data --> Microsoft Query'.
All connections work properly and display as tables -- essentially creating a 'dashboard'.
We allow users to pass in parameters so the results for each of the tables may change -- i.e. sometimes there may be 5 records in the table. Other times there will be 10-15.
Here is where the error occurs: we have selected 'Total Row' for each table so totals may be displayed. Everything works ok if the # of records stay consistent but if the # of records in the table change we get the following error message:

Cannot resize a table down when total rows are showing, and a feature such as a PivotTable report, array formula, or merged cell below the table overlaps the table column boundaries

For the Data Connection properties we have the following checked off:
'Preserve column sort/filter/layout'
Preserve cell formatting
...and below
Overwrite existing cells with new data, clear unused cells

Note, when we initially set this up with only one table (with 'Total Row') and the # of records changed everything worked ok -- it was only when we added multiple tables that this occurred.

Any help on how this can be resolved are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan
