Hi Everyone,

I am currently constructing a basic events lists similar to the one below.

Event NameStart DateEnd DateDepartment

<tbody>
</tbody>

From this list i want to populate a calendar worksheet. I have found out how to populate the cells in the calendar with the event and even how to format the cells so only the first instance of the event has the text visible. However I am not sure if it is possible to have the text in the cell with the first instance of an event overflow into the other cells where the text is hidden. Some of the event names are quite long so I don't really want to wrap text or make the columns really wide, as this would effect the layout of the calendar. The events can be from 1 day to 2 weeks long. Any advice anyone has on how to achieve this would be gratefully received. If this is not possible would it be possible to merge cells if the data in the cells were the same, and if so how would this be affected if the dates of the event were changed.

Many thanks in advance

Becci.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Hi Becci - As nobody has yet responded, I think it would be helpful if you could post an example of where you are having this problem. That may help us formulate an answer. Hope this helps get things started.
