Exact function with 3 texts !?

Hi ,

I need to use the exact function for 3 cells ? is that possible ?
=if (EXACT(A1;A2;A3); "C";"F") but why the following formula didnt work even,knowing that they have equal values !
=if(A1=A2=A3;"C";"F") result was "F" !

Any help please ?

EXACT only accepts 2 arguments. Try:

=IF(AND(EXACT(A1;A2);EXACT(A2;A3));"C";"F")

Another possibility:

=IF(COUNTIF(A1:A3;A1)=3;"C";"F")

This will work

=IF(AND(A1=A2,A2=A3),"C","F")

Thank you , the second possibility didnt work when i tried to apply it on cells from different columns and rows, which means only for same column cells.

Also...

=IF(AND(EXACT(A1;A1:A3));"C";"F")

...confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER, not just ENTER.
