Example spread sheet needed

I am putting together a spread sheet to chart different projects. Basically I will list the project name, location, and then a brief, updated summary to track the progress of the project.

I can put something together that will work, but I would like to have a somewhat professional looking spreadsheet. Does anyone have something like this that can be emailed to me? strebal@yahoo.com

It is possible to do this in Excel but wouldn't you be better off using Microsoft Project?

MS Project would be better, but I do not have access to it.
