Excel 2007 can't figure out CSV timestamp. But 2003 can?

Hey guys,
I'm new to the board, and I have to warn you... I'm not an excel genius. lol.
I've looked everywhere trying to figure out this issue, but I can't find a bloody thing about it!
So, my issue is I have a CSV file formatted as follows.

6/21/2011 8:18:40 AM 0 4.88E-02 0.0976801
6/21/2011 8:18:50 AM 0 4.88E-02 0.0976801
6/21/2011 8:19:00 AM 0 4.88E-02 0.0976801
6/21/2011 8:19:10 AM 0 4.88E-02 0.1465202
6/21/2011 8:19:20 AM 0 4.88E-02 0.0976801
6/21/2011 8:19:30 AM 0 4.88E-02 0.0976801
6/21/2011 8:19:40 AM 0 4.88E-02 0.0976801
6/21/2011 8:19:50 AM 4.88E-02 4.88E-02 4.88E-02
6/21/2011 8:20:00 AM 0 4.88E-02 0.0976801
6/21/2011 8:20:10 AM 4.88E-02 4.88E-02 0.0976801

Under excel 2003, I can change the formatting to time in column a, and it changes from
6/21/2011 8:19:** AM
to
8:19

With 2007 however, I cannot change the formatting.
It just stays the same. Kind of like it's not picking up the timestamp.
I'm at a complete loss as to how to fix this, and I need it to finish up reports.
Unfortunately I don't have 2003 on my PC, otherwise I'd sort of fix my issue. lol
Let me know your ideas!
Thanks
Nick.

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
I just tried, and it works!
Is there a setting in 2007 that would make it see that it's the same?
Some times I have over 2500 stamps over a few days, and it would take a while to even replace all.
Maybe a macro?

Just for information.
I have permanently fixed the issue.
I have a Win7 machine, and the Date/Time was set to d/m/yyyy.
Setting it to m/d/yyyy , and it all went wonderfully!
Fixed and fixed.
