Hi all,
I've been using excel 2007 for a while now... well since the beta actualy, and several times at work I've come accross this issue.
Basicaly for no apparent reason the format of virtualy all (if not all) cells in the workbook becomes Accountancy $ and even if you correct the format on all sheets currently in the workbook and save it, any new sheets that you insert in that workbook will always be USD.
This is really anoying because I almost never want a USD format so haft to change it everytime but on the spreadsheet's it's happened on are quite big spreadsheets so I don't want to just start a new work book.
I presume this is a bug or corruption of some sort but have no idea how to fix it. It's confined to a small number of spreadsheets and not any new ones I create so it must be something in the those files which to me implys I can fix it since all excel 2007 files are just zipped XLM documents so even if it's not something that can be sorted by changing an option somewhere in excel to choose the default cell format in the workbook (can't find one btw) there should still be a way to fix it by changing the xml that makes up the file???
Does anyone else get this problem? and ideas on a solution?
