I am trying to adapt a 2007 file to work in 2010. I just upgraded this PC to Win 7 and Excel 2010. The routine goes to a website and grabs a file each week. I then scrape the information I want and append it it to my local file. Now in Excel 2010, or maybe its Windows 7 doing it, I get a pop up message box warning me of harmful files. I tried putting sendkeys in to "OK" the message box but apparently the popup event happens before the sendkeys can be run. Any thoughts on how to handle the pop up?

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".

If the pop-up is from Excel you could try

Code:
Application.DisplayAlerts = False
'
'code to grab data
'
Application.DisplayAlerts = True

If it is a pop-up from Windows then you would probably need some clever API programming to trap it.

Yeah, I tried that so it must be a Windows 7 thing. Can you point me to some reference material to review to try and handle the windows call?
