Hey everyone!

Got a bit of a problem that I need help troubleshooting! We have a workbook we use at work which contains various internal data spread across 255 separate tabs. Each of the tabs has about 300 records of data and the file is only about 1MB in size.

The file uses up a lot of memory when I load it and when I went to create a macro that loops through all the tabs I saved the file, thinking everything was good. Later, then i tried to re-open the file it crashes at open and I can't get it to stop.

What are some steps I can take to troubleshoot this?

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
You can try holding down the Shift key while you open the file. That would keep any macros from running. Don't know if that stops the calculation of not. If it is automatically doing a calc, and that is blowing the memory, I am not sure how to fix that.

Thanks! Yeah, it is something to do with opening the file and it just killing my available memory. The spreadsheet takes up about 2.3GB of memory when it is open. I may need to find a way to access the file without opening it. I am going to ask a question related to this in a new thread. Let me know if you have any ideas.
