Hi,

Is there any way to change the highlighted cell colour from green to another colour, say black?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
How is it being highlighted?
With manually highlighting or even by using Conditional Formatting, you have the ability to choose any color you want.
Assuming that it has not changed dramatically from earlier versions of Excel, if using the Highlighting Button on the Font menu, just click on the drop-down arrow next to the bucket to select the color you want.

Hi, This has nothing to do with formatting cells, what I mean is the active cell highlight box in Excel 2013 is green, can this colour be changed.

OK. I don't have Excel 2013 (I am still on Excel 2007). But if I were a betting man, I would say "No", that probably cannot be changed.
Typically, inherent things like that cannot be changed.

You may be able to "override" the behavior with VBA code, but quite frankly, I don't know that it would be worth the effort. The VBA code would only apply to the workbooks you have it stored in, and you would have to have it enabled, etc.
