Hi

This is the essence of what I want to achieve: a stacked bar chart showing the row grand totals:

Label 1 XXYYYYYYZ 9
Label 2 YYYYYZZZZ 9
Label 3 XXXXXYYYZZZZ 12

x-axis is e.g. 1 - 12.

(X, Y, Z = chart colours).

Needs to be standard Excel (no macros).

Thanks.

Hi KasperKL

Thanks. Yes I can produce a Stacked Column chart with totals - it's the Stacked Bar chart I can't crack!

Your data should look something like this:

header header header
header value value value
header value value value
header value value value

Then select it all, go to the 'Insert' tab on the ribbon.

Click the little button in the mid of the ribbon called 'Insert Column or Bar chart' and choose 'Stacked Bar' (under the category: 2-D Bar).

Are you having trouble with some of the above?

Hi KasperKL

Thanks for your replies. No matter what I do I can't get the Stacked Bar to behave in the same manner as the Stacked Column (I can get the Stacked Column/Line combo to work ok but not the Stacked Bar/Line combo ... unfortunately it's the latter that I need.)

Regards.
