Excel 2017 - How do prevent Excel from automatically importing .csv into a table format?

I have recently switched from Excel 2016 to Excel 2017 and when importing data from a .csv Excel formats the import as a table when I click on load. This means I then have to change the format to convert it to a range and then get rid of all the colour banded rows.

Is there a way to prevent this happening and have the import work similar to how it did in 2016?

You can still use the old text import wizard. Turn it on in Tools, Options, Data tab. Then you'll be able to find it via Data tab, Get data, Legacy Wizards.
But why don't you want the table, it has many advantages over not being a table, such as charts and PivotTables automatically adjusting their source range.
