Hi All

Have a weird error where I'm looking at some financial numbers which are all typed in with 2 decimal places, so 189.34 for example. In one of my cells is a simple A1+A2 formula, but when excel calculates the result it is adding 0.00000000001 to the result so my number when I expand out the decimal points is 3,269.07000000001. I've expanded all the numbers that go into this number and none of them show with this extra amount.

I do have a file that I'm happy to share with anyone (only 11kb excel 2010 file), it seems I'm currently not allowed to upload attachments though.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

This is commonly referred to as a "rounding error".
